“Family-centred therapies to support every child, empower every family, and nurture growth together”

Our Services

Assessments & Diagnosis

“Through assessments, we gain insight into how our brains work and why our experiences feel the way they do. This understanding allows us to access the right supports, deepen self-awareness, and grow compassion for ourselves and others.”

Clinical Interview

During the clinical interview, the Psychologist will collect background information, client history and any concerns. This information will allow the Psychologist to determine which assessment is required and will provide you with opportunities to ask any questions.

The Assessment

Through functional capacity and comprehensive assessments, we can assess the following:

  • Cognitive / Intellectual functioning (e.g. IQ testing, learning potential)

  • Neurodevelopmental functioning (e.g. ASD, ADHD, global developmental delays)

  • Learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia)

  • Memory and executive functioning (e.g. planning, working memory, problem-solving)

  • Behavioural and emotional functioning (e.g. anxiety, depression, regulation difficulties)

  • Adaptive functioning (e.g. daily living skills, independence, social skills)

  • Trauma and attachment-related presentations

  • Sensory profiles

Ongoing Support

Following the assessment, we work collaboratively with families to co-create a support plan that feels meaningful, practical, and empowering. While receiving a diagnosis can sometimes feel overwhelming, it can also provide clarity, language, and validation—helping individuals and families to better understand their experiences and begin a supportive path forward.

Our Early Childhood Early
Intervention Approach

“Providing timely, targeted supports to reduce future reliance on more intensive services.”

Under the NDIS ECEI approach, children aged 0 to 6 years can access tailored supports without a diagnosis.
Our team values the importance of Early Intervention and the profound impact it can have on your child and family’s overall wellbeing and functioning. We follow the Key Worker model which is widely recognised as best practice in ECEI. Under this model, we give families one trusted professional who works in partnership with them to build skills, confidence and connections.

NDIS Participant Intake

During the paediatric intake, we will collect information, including details of the child’s development, behavioural concerns, and further stakeholder information. This information allows us to develop an Individualised Therapy Plan in connection with their NDIS goals, existing diagnoses (if applicable) and future outcomes.
Our team, consisting of experienced Psychologists, a Speech Pathologist, Developmental Educator and Early Childhood and Primary Teachers, work closely to develop and implement the child’s therapy plan.

Play-Based Therapy Sessions

Play provides a natural and motivating context for children to learn, practice, and master new skills while feeling safe and supported. Our Therapists thoughtfully target goals focusing on:

  • Social interactions and skills

  • Self-regulation

  • Emotional identification and expression

  • Cognitive development

  • Effective communication

  • Improved focus and concentration

  • Building confidence and resilience

  • Building self-esteem and overall wellbeing

  • School readiness and development

  • Transition to educational services and primary school

By following the child’s lead, introducing structure when needed, and using play as both the medium and motivator for learning, we create meaningful opportunities for growth across developmental domains. This approach also fosters joy, connection, and confidence, ensuring that therapy is engaging while still being purposeful and goal-directed.

Our play-based therapy can be delivered flexibly within our Developmental Centre in Merimbula, in the child’s educational setting such as early learning centres and schools, within the community, or the home environment. This ensures children can access support in environments that are familiar and meaningful to them.
